Sessions & Team Building
Bob Barba, business development manager for United Airlines, has seen a lot of economic shifts in his 35 years with the airline, but the impact that COVID had worldwide is swiftly—and permanently—changing how we travel moving forward. Its effects are being felt all the way down the chain of transportation, including in our connected industry. Barba will discuss how the pandemic was an opportunity to mold a new paradigm at his company and reshape the critical role of corporate and personal transportation, as well as the positives to come out of a global slowdown that is quite possibly leading to stronger and more resilient businesses all over the world.
Finding and retaining staff has been a constant problem for our space, but how you attract and recruit post-COVID requires different strategies in an employee’s market. Robyn Goldenberg of Strategy Leaders and Simon Curtis of Curtis Gabriel will look at lessons from the trucking industry, explain how to use marketing data to attract new employees, and discuss how an operation can adjust their branding and external messaging to show a company culture that employees want to work for. Keeping in the “friendly competition” theme of the event, this session will come with a digital “playbook” to help implement what you’ve learned once you return to the office.
